Sure, most families focus on the theme parks when they stay at the Buena Vista Palace Resort. There's enough to do at the resort to keep the kids busy while the adults enjoy an afternoon of spa treatments. There are also plenty of restaurants just outside of Disney property for family dining.

All the guests at the Beuna Vista Palace love it, here is one guest comments “There is a lot to do at the resort, so much that we stayed longer than planned. Our original plan was to stay three nights, then head over to Daytona...however my son had so much fun on Recreation Island that he didn't want to leave so we stayed in Orlando for the entire vacation.” Another traveler pointed out that you can still enjoy recreation, even if you return late from the theme parks, saying, “Enjoyed late night at the pool which is open 24 hours along with the Jacuzzi.” Even if you're at the resort at night, you can still get a little taste of the Disney magic.
